What the Dedicated Server Outlet is

The outlet is our previous-generation Intel Xeon hardware, sold build-to-order. Instead of picking the nearest fixed plan, you specify the processor, memory, disks, RAID, bandwidth and IP allocation you actually want, in any of 23 countries, and see the price as you build it.

The machines sit in the same data centres, on the same network, with the same support as the current range. They are a hardware generation behind, which is what keeps a made-to-measure server at this price. Every server is unmanaged and yours alone: no shared cores, no noisy neighbours, full root or Administrator access.

Common questions

How much does an outlet dedicated server cost?

Outlet dedicated servers start at €81 per month. The final price depends on the country, processor, memory, storage, bandwidth and IP allocation you choose. Annual terms take 10% off.

Is outlet hardware slower?

It is a generation older, not degraded. For most workloads - web hosting, mail, VPN endpoints, game servers, storage, backups - the difference is not noticeable. Sustained heavy compute is where a current-generation CPU earns its price difference.

Is this cheaper than your standard dedicated servers?

Not necessarily, and that is not the point of it. Our fixed dedicated plans start at €70/month and are better value if one of them happens to match what you need. The outlet is for when none of them does: you build the exact specification instead of paying for a plan that is close enough.

Do you ask for identity documents?

How long does setup take?

Outlet servers are provisioned from existing stock, usually within one business day of the invoice being paid. You will receive root credentials by email.
